LUCKY STARS: BRENNA KENNEDY-MOORE
ELLA BASEMAN PHOTOGRAPHY
As a person who is usually afraid of the dark, astrophotography provides me with a new appreciation for night. These images work to capture and eternalize the beauty of the dark and demonstrate the ways that a landscape can be altered by darkness. At night, the beach that I had spent my childhood playing on seemed to turn into the surface of the moon; the sky splayed hues of green, purple and blue. I love to work with color in all of my art, so I consciously chose to shoot this digitally. I feel both curious and at ease when looking at these photographs, feelings that I hope other viewers share.
